How you buy would depend on your strategy....stocks often pull back as you stated....

options:

Confirm the break, then await a retrace and buy (set a stop)
Buy the break and wait out the retrace (set a stop)
Wait for the retrace, and sob if you miss it <g>

You have to assess options against your investment style....forecasting retracements is always 50/50

Last breakout resulted in a retest 3 days later....
