I have to beleive the final deal will be much higher than that. This smacks of over-reaching by Monsanto in the way AHP tried to do to Immunex. And look at Immunex sttock now. My guess is that Monsanto pays more: say 9 to 10 dollars a share in order to avoid lawsuits; or else walks away for now. But they are really trapped as they own so much of Calgene now that they have to support Calgene if it needs money so....my guess is 9.50 per share!
