Oh My ! History repeats its self. I go back to the early 1960's. Equity Gold a Company exploring for gold in n/w Quebec. The drills were encountering many intersections of 0.2 ounces gold per ton which at that time were not commercial. Low and behold assays started to be reported double the original grades. The stock took off in the market. The Company Geologist died mysteriously with in a few days of a property visit. A subsequent investigation by the RCMP reveiled that the drill cores had been salted just eneugh to make the property look viable. The Company was taken over by strangers, re-organized and renamed Eagle Gold Mining, it came into production years later and was the start of a very sucessful listed TSE company Agnico Eagle.
There maybe some hope for the Bre-x shareholders with a much smaller deposit.
