It is simple. With the dilution of acquisition, EMC will no longer be able to deliver the 30-35% annual growth in the next two years no matter how good or bad the people at DGN are and how successful will be the merging. Based on this fact, EMC is no longer qualified as a fast growing company (at least momentarily), and will not be justified to enjoy the high PE multiples. Although EMC is still one of the best companies in the world, I think the stock price of EMC needs to work down a bit unfortunately (to a PE of 45-50 ?). Just my thoughts.
