Well said Dan. I too am strongly thinking about going substantially to cash to wait out the crunch we'll be facing the next few weeks. I don't think I will but the thought has crossed my mind. I have talked to several people who are in the middle of significant margin calls (i.e. 5K - 50+K) and have not had to "pay the piper" yet. If you are a significant or valued customer of the major brokerages they will let you buy some time during a margin call. If you are with a discount brokerage or not a known valued customer then the brokerage might even be able to sell your other securities at market without you knowing it.

I think the worst is yet to come as more mutual funds jump their BXM and margin calls are cleaned up. Should last at least all week IMO.

Dan when you said ... "Yes we survived Voisey's bay, Timbuktu, Cartaway, the diamond play disaster, and this too shall pass."

What did you mean by the diamond play disaster? I am a KRT shareholder and was wondering if I missed something?
