Yo Nostradamus, how about an easy starter test to help us determine if you are the genuine article.....or just another dead poster...

1. Name the title of your writings
2. Your four lined rhyming verses were known as?
3. You were born where?
4. Your given name was?
5. You predicted the world would end in what year?

An investment board is always blessed by the presence of a few gifted dead prophets. 'Tis a shame you cannot clearly see which of the big three long distance players will ultimately assume ownership of AOL, but I suppose it matters not. You are predicting one will acquire control, right? My questions: When, and at what price? I would be happy to give you full credit for this information, and possibly a reasonable gratuity.

Your vision was flawed in one area. I am not in management at AOL. If I were, I would vote to be acquired and then sacked by MCI. I like their style. I am just an AOL subscriber with a moderate long position in the stock, and I enjoy watching the battle rage for our eyeballs and loyalty (what there is) and our dollars. I used to be a *Prodigy subscriber and liked their investment area, but their service was lacking in energy and innovative spirit. Those qualities AOL does have in good quantity, even if they sometimes do step on the accelerator too forcefully and bounce off the third turn wall.

If you are really who you are, I commend you for your fearless prognostication in the past, and hope you will not be hesitant to add to this board's prescience. I think the short term traders would especially appreciate thirty day forecasts thru the next expiration, if you can see your way clearly to provide.

Last thoughts: I would like to discuss the AOL "churn" thing that has drawn attention. Do you see anything in this area? You mentioned AOL and its 8 million subs. Does this mean they are not losing subs (net) as some have speculated? Is the churn really the same 400,000 cheap free riders and frauds getting a free 30 day trial over and over until they finally use up all 13 of their overloaded credit cards? Does anyone care about gross signups, if net is what pays the bills and what the eventual buyout will be based on?

None are so blind as those who will not see,

Joe AOL
