SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 10, 1999--LMCI
Communications (OTC BB:LMKI) Tuesday announced the availability of its
ZipDSL(TM) services in Florida and Texas to be delivered through Covad
Communications (NASDAQ:COVD), increasing the number of areas that LMCI
offers DSL service to 21 regions.
Customers within the Miami, Austin, Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth
metropolitan areas can now order LMCI's high-speed business-class
Internet, data, video and voice services. Additionally, national
corporate customers will have these areas available to them for
connecting their remote satellite offices and telecommuters through
LMCI's Real Private Network(SM) (RPN) or Virtual Private Network (VPN)
services.
The ZipDSL(TM) launch is accompanied by the availability of
physical co-location facilities within LMCI's Dallas, Houston and
Miami gateway locations for companies that need to place their network
servers directly onto the Internet backbone.

LMCI ZipDSL(TM) Service is currently available in 21 regions,
