With 26% of a market that's becoming the critical link in the merged data/voice network hardly makes one a wallflower.

Right now there are some big question marks regarding the companies you mentioned. Are you aware of Cisco's problems with Sprint? And how about LU/ASND's GX550 problems in certain accounts?

As for NN, there's a difference between being a wallflower and timing your entry for the greatest effect.

Don't forget all the major players have scrambled to buy the ATM technology NN's been developing for years. And with their IP strategy recently affirmed by sales at BT and continuing strength at SBC and BEL, I don't think there's any doubt who has the winning technology.

Cisco's strategy of walk loudly carry small stick won't work in the carrier world.
