Watching someone else flirt is like watching someone else drink. It is fun for the participants, but can make the onlookers feel a vicarious sense of embarrassment. I grant you, that is definitely the product of projecting one's own standards of social conduct onto others- but obviously we all do that. E, for example, is uncomfortable with my maggot revulsion post- so she would probably never say that and it makes her uncomfortable to see other people doing that.

There is a difference between silly flirtation and anatomically descriptive flirtation. I absolutely agree with CH that the next button is good for that- but God, you still see the first lines, and it can get kinda creepy. I mean I wouldn't like having to constantly put down my phone to avoid hearing phone sex- sure I would only hear a sentence before I put down the receiver but it would be annoying. Now CH and you and whoever have every right to do whatever you want, anywhere you want to, none of us can stop you- but of course, we have the right to comment.
