True. The key, as you say, is to "deal with...the...types"--not run from them. In dealing with the various personalities, you said that "ignoring people can be quite effective". IMHO, ignoring people is definitely one potentially effective approach, but is only one of many approaches. It's probably one the easiest approach, and might best be considered one of the first things to try.
