Robert, unfortunately the facts don't agree with your perceptions that Kaiser was not the instigator of this tampering theory. From today's Financial Post :

"Kaiser aired the issue of salting at Busang in his March 24 newsletter, two days before the market was shaken by two announcements
that threw doubt on Bre-X's drill results and estimates of the size of the Busang deposit in Indonesia. My agenda was to put these rumours into the open" said Kaiser (Why did he want these rumours in the open?)...Kaiser went one step further and outlined a theory that he said could explain how someone could have distorted, or salted, the samples. The speculative scenario now emerging is that the continuity and consistency of gold grade was an illusion created by contaminating all the core samples, he wrote in a client fax."

I repeat what is his real agenda and if he has more substantial information than is available to the general public then make it known. To expound his "theories" in an open forum has to be construed as irresponsible considering the impact of his statement in the current environment and the extremely negative ramifications for all juniors in general at this time. One last point if Freeport is as convinced as Kaiser and many others that this is a scam why don't they just stop their dd right now and walk away? Could there be other motivations at work here?

We will find out in the fullness of time.
