steve, Re: Elmer and launch Elmer is being a jerk on this spec stuff all along. Having said that this launch was pretty dissapointing. The chip is clearly awesome period. But losing gateway is bad news and lack of product surprised me. I thought the whole idea of the launch was to do it Intel style with major oems and product on the shelf. If product is to be available next week they should have said so clearly. I also thought Niles's report was very good. The big issue will be sales and MB's. In general they showed clearly what a great processor the k7 is, but failed to articulate the big issues, volumes, yields, dresden. This explains why the stock action is so muted. Everybody still has major doubts. regards, Kash
