morgan i have enjoyed your point of view on trading and particularly on nite. i am a newbie to si and this is my first post. i am a nite shareholder and very worried about this recent destruction. i do have one thought that may only be wishful thinking but will put it forward nonetheless. in this marketplace which depends on percieved worth would market makers not be well positioned to take advantage of every type of trend eg. overall market, sector rotation, news, general entusiasm or outright panic ? if one accepts that mms are the experts at understanding market elements might they not be using this debacle to manuver profitably for themselves as well as manipulating the trader/investor to their own well planned appearance of breakdown by exacerbating the technical weaknesses at paricularly crucial junctures on many diverse levels. knowing the ccycles of stock behavior on a very simplistic level i understand some of the strategies but am only a beginner. seems to me this panic is being awfully well conducted for maximum effect. bob minshew
