RE: Think GM's internet strategy will hurt this stock?

Could you provide the details of the what GM's saying regarding this?

Just an off the cuff response would be, I doubt it would have a major effect. GM would push only their product. Seems to me that most potential buyers would be interested in more choices. Plus, I would assume, they'd offer primarily newer models. So I doubt that you'd see any used autos on a GM site. Besides they've got an awful lot invested in their dealerships. They won't want to completely undermine those people, who, I think, are their bread-and-butter for revenue for the foreseeable future.

Finally, I'd offer an analogy to my recent price shopping for Digital camcorders. After shopping a few online camera dealers I visited Sony's sight. The prices that they listed (what few they did) were much higher than those quoted at the online dealers.

But, I agree with you that it seems that it can't get a whole lot worse. The market is only reacting to bad news right now. Good news seems to be mainly ignored. Hopefully the market will find a bottom soon.
