>>xm, need i remind you just how little talent it takes to spend millions and millions and millions in advertising in order to wrap dollar bills around every product you sell?
prospects? revenue and loss growth will not sustain amzn. there is little performance here.<<

I wouldn't be so quick to slam the management of AMZN. It's not as easy as you think to create 13 bil in shareholder value. I think all this strong negativity towards AMZN on this thread stems from frustrated investors who got out too quickly. My personal feeling is that you should leave the shorting to the pros if you are not a trader by profession. (and by trader I don't mean some smuck with a PC and online brokerage account) There are numerous excellent investing opportunities in today's market, where you can be positive and earn a multiple of your investment back. Moreover, don't forget that anything is always worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. AMZN's valuation is a product of excellent mgmt establishing the leading brand in the biggest market. Let me ask you this: what multiple of AMZN's total marketing expenses to date would it cost SkeeterCo to become the leader? 4x, 5x? It definitely isn't 1.5x.

Good luck to all,

Xmonger
