xm, i didn't say it took no talent, i just said it took little talent. if i had the connections and the dollars bezos had, i feel quite confident i could have wrapped dollars around product and spent untold millions to build what amzn is today, give or take a little.

i noticed you cited market cap as proof that bezos and company is smart. i'd cite market cap as proof that there is excess money in the economy and that has resulted in tulip type speculation not grounded in anything but fantasy.

you didn't cite earnings - b/c you can't. you can't even cite a history of sequentially smaller losses - b/c they are growing.

you can't cite lack of debt. you can't even cite a plan to pay back the debt. you can't cite a date as to when amzn becomes profitable b/c bezos isn't so stupid as to give one (psssst, he has more stock to sell).

you can't cite shareholder equity b/c this expert management team has burned it all up to increase their losses.

so you cite market cap. let's see how long that holds against a backdrop of continuous losses that will SURELY follow this post...

btw, amzn's type of "leadership" isn't what i want. i don't want to crap away shareholder assets so i can build my stock price and please folks who think the length of their nose is far sighted.
