Larry- Re: Hal's recent technical calls...

Hal has been less than stellar lately...

Last week, when Dell was completing its 7th day in a row heading down.....Hal kept telling us the trend was down (or, at least, did not change its down call)...

Donnie (Venkie), however, bought wisely around 37.5....I followed with a purchase at 38 1/16....the stock rallied thru today...hitting 41 11/16 (and we still have several days left before earnings)...and the Naz has been hit hard lately...so, there are good odds that Dell will rise to 42/43 in the next few days (earnings run)...that would mean that Donnie picked off 12-15%, and me, better than 10%...in less than a week...

Does Hal not consider a 12-15% move as significant? That leaves a lot on the table, IMO...

Hal never told us about a "turn" at 37, or 38, or 39 last week...Donnie did...so did I....

Hal "only" started to warn us about a downturn today...when Dell hit 40 1/4...well, after that, it only dropped down to 39 3/8 (and Donnie and I were still up, at that point, on our trades..despite the tanking)....now, we are back to 40 1/2 (and more)...and Hal still has us in a downturn, no?

My goal here: Hal should watch the "definitive" pronouncements, like "there is no hope"...if Hal keeps up his (?) short-term performance, there will be no hope for Hal either..

But plenty for Donnie and John <G>

Keep pluggin' away....it is fun, interesting to read Hal..but how about a bit less bluster...

BTW- Emachines is not Dell's biggest worry...not even close...
