Sometimes it is obvious that someone is trying to do good as evidenced by this story.

(Luke 10:30 NASB) "Jesus replied and said, "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went off leaving him half dead."
(Luke 10:31 NASB) ""And by chance a certain priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side."
(Luke 10:32 NASB) ""And likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side."
(Luke 10:33 NASB) ""But a certain Samaritan, who was on a journey, came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,"
(Luke 10:34 NASB) "and came to him, and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him."
(Luke 10:35 NASB) ""And on the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return, I will repay you.'"
(Luke 10:36 NASB) ""Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers' hands?""
(Luke 10:37 NASB) "And he said, "The one who showed mercy toward him." And Jesus said to him, "Go and do the same.""

Sometimes it is not so obvious who is doing good to whom.
Barabbas loosed, Christ mocked

(Mat 27:26 NIV) "Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified."

Mat 27:26: Verses 26-30. Crucifixion was a death used only among the Romans; it was very terrible and miserable. A cross was laid on the ground, to which the hands and feet were nailed, it was then lifted up and fixed upright, so that the weight of the body hung on the nails, till the sufferer died in agony. Christ thus answered the type of the brazen serpent raised on a pole. Christ underwent all the misery and shame here related, that he might purchase for us everlasting life, and joy, and glory.

Lord, I just want to say today that I love you and thank you for the blessings you have given to us who are in Christ. And Lord, please do not chastise me for posting a prayer on a public forum. I realize Lord that this prayer should have been uttered in the closet, but I just felt moved to pray. If I have offended you or anyone else, please forgive. I speak through Jesus my mediator. Amen

David
