I think that X is using the word in the sense usually associated with sin, where it overrides all scruples and has nothing really to do with the partner's being a person at all, where the satisfaction is merely sexual and remains so and is, using her word, immoderate. Where the sex is an end unto itself and is not moderated by the rest of life. Off for now!
