RE: EBAY also announced today they will be selling Autos on their site.

I visited there site. I didn't find anything different. Can you reference the announcement or where you saw it?

Unless this is a completely new twist they've already had autos for some time (don't know how long but I've seen them on there in recent weeks). If autos on EBAY remains even remotely similar to what they are currently doing I wouldn't view them as a major threat to AWEB.

EBAY's mostly person to person. I'll take the chance and buy software, or books over the internet from someone I haven't met. But a car? I don't know. I've bought and sold a number of items on EBAY. Most recently I listed for sale a Harley for a friend. What EBAY offers as a service is great. But, his bike auction came and went, because it was just another motorcycle. It hadn't been previously owned by a celebrity and it didn't have anything particularly unique to make it 'stand out'. And even though the fees to list items aren't that terrible if an item doesn't sell after a couple attempts you won't see people listing items indefinitely. So, finding the car you want on EBAY (under it's current format is hit-or-miss). IMHO People shopping EBAY (especially for those types of items) are looking for the unique, specific item. If it's there they'll bid on it. If not they might check later.

I'd assume your more typical car/truck shopper (although they might check out EBAY) has a need and they're wanting to fulfill it in a reasonable amount of time.

AWEB is connecting people to a virtual dealer network. Plus they'll be tying together the whole package; car, insurance, financing, etc.

I don't intend to come off as an expert, because I'm not. These are just my observations and since I'm long AWEB I've got an interest. I certainly welcome all viewpoints on this stock/company.
