Use them as bookends for your cookbooks.

You could maybe get your picture in the paper. Every summer in the Lexington Gazette, which came out once a week on Wednesdays, there would be a picture of some old man in his overalls proudly holding a very large squash/tomato/cucumber and beaming at the camera.

Joe Clemmer shows off the ten pound cucumber he got from his garden last week. Joe steals the record from Billy Campbell, whose giant cucumber weighed in at 8 1/2 pounds last August.
