To all Christians:

Please give me your honest views on this subject:

We know Christ died for all our sins, past, present and future. He died for all the people's sins that weren't even born yet, like you and I. We also know that God lives outside of the time continuum we live in. So he knows in advance what will happen with us, before we are even born.

I had a relative who died before I was saved, so I never had a chance to witness to them. My best guess is that they were not saved. But knowing what I know about salvation now, could I pray for that relative now that they will be saved, even after their death?

It seems silly, and almost sacrilegious to me, but if God is not limited by space and time, and knew my prayers before I, or the relative I had was born, could he save somebody based on a prayer that I currently make for the relative, even though they are already dead? Is there any scripture that supports or rejects the principle of praying for something now that has already happen? Also, would we be saying God cannot do something if we say God cannot act on a prayer now, for something that already happened?

Any thoughts would be appreciated......

God Bless,
Steve
