Pearls of wisdom preened from diving the investing depths. Yes. Colorado it is. Cool, Colorful Colorado. I was in Missouri over the weekend for a family reunion and a float on an old paddle wheeler on the Missouri River. Ninety degrees and ninety percent humidity. I slept on the river bank in my little two man tent. Was very beautiful and had visits from possum and raccoons during the night. Watched huge cottonwoods float down the river in the little light as there had been a flood in Omaha that day before of 15" of rain in 8 hours. The river rose 6 feet during the night. I came back home to cool mountain air and light rain. This country we live in is truly majestic. I talked with corn and soybean farmers and looked at immaculate well tended farms all over Nebraska and Missouri. These men and women invest their entire lives into feeding this world and quietly go about being excellent people and quiet patriots. They are humble and hard working. They are our backbone and the commodity prices they receive for their work is a travesty. We will live to regret taking advantage of these folk.
