My last housesitter almost killed my cat, Mephisto. The very first night he opened a window that did not have a screen in it. This is a guy who is suppose to be very bright.

Of course, Mephisto jumped out the window. Fortunately, he wears a quick release collar. Otherwise, he would have broken his neck. As it was he fell 15 feet. When I came home, seven weeks later his ear still had blood on it. He cut it when he fell.

I think M is safer at the Cat's Bed & Breakfast place.
