Just checked with the fund I hold. The overall precious metals index was down between 8% - 9% but this fund I hold was down only 3%. It closed today at $9.2599 from $9.56. What is this manager holding ? In a major downturn that is unheard of, this fund hardly gets bruised but in up markets, his fund rallies. Now you know why I stick with this guy. The moment he leaves, I'm out of this fund.

Vinod...

Are you saying you don't know what stock your funds are holding? Looks to me like they are not into BRE-X for sure :) I phoned my fund the other day to ask if they were in Bre-x. The equity fund holds zip and my precious and strategic metals holds around 1%. Maybe your fund is into other metals besides gold. So what do you think of the bre-x situation. God what a fiasco. I still think it will come out ok. I think everything is rumor and the funds pulled all their money out. It's hard to believe they could think they could pull of this big a fraud. And the geologist--- bet he is alive somewhere :)
