I hit this thread by chance and find here valuable contribution by you.

I am new to investing with no experiance in calls & puts. I have printed out a number of your posts and trying to digest the material on coverd calls.

Since I am holding presently NOVL stocks(bought at 9 5/8) and now I am thinking to protect myself with any downfall with covered call.

I see that April 7.5 call has a premium of about 2 1/2. What is your opinion of my selling this call? If this call is not called do I still have to pay broker commission (I am using Lombard) ? Finally when I place order on line with the broker Do I say "sell to open" or "sell to close" ?

Your valuable input on this would be appreciated.

Thank You,

Talib
