How was the meteor show?

I didn't go see it. Instead, I attended a business dinner.

It was kinda' weird: some folks there thought it was their supper.

I had to assure them it was going to be OK. For example I told them that ever since 1929, at the end of every decade there was some major upheaval that happened, but the world still continue to spin, spin and spin for those folks that thought they were doomed.
