PWDR-BELLINGHAM, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 1999--Power Direct,
Inc. (OTC BB:PWDR), the parent company of CardStakes.com, the world's
first Internet based greeting card sweepstakes company, is pleased to
announce that it has completed its beta testing.
During this very successful beta test, Cardstakes.com registered
over 6,000 subscribers, who sent out over 9,000 cards.
The Company is also pleased to announce that the winner of the
$5,000 beta testing sweepstakes is David Starkovsky from the Ukraine.
The Company wishes to thank all the sweepstakes participants.
An agreement with the first credit card company has been
completed and others are in various stages of completion.
Cardstakes.com will be officially launched later this month.
The global greeting card market is currently a $15 Billion per
