(OTC BB: PWTC) Profiled Price 3/4 (8/10/99) Year High 2 13/16 Year Low 1/4 Shares I/O ~14,800,000 Public Float ~2,000,000 Power Technology, Inc. (OTC BB: PWTC) is a Nevada-based technology development company, which holds several patents in the power generation and power storage fields, and is working to provide innovative and practical technology solutions for commercial, government and industrial applications worldwide. In a time when cellular phones and lap top computers are in widespread use, and when the use of the electric car is becoming a reality, PWTC has developed a battery that will improve the use, ease, and efficiency of these products, and to top it off, the battery is environmentally safe. The Power Battery's unique internal structure and electrochemistry give it significant advantages over conventional batteries, and PWTC is sure to become a leader in the battery industry. The PWTC Advantage Power Technology has developed a more powerful, more efficient, environmentally friendly battery for commercial use in the automotive industry, for standby power stations, the burgeoning electric vehicle market, and other existing battery applications. Made of a lightweight nontoxic alloy with acid-free electrolyte, this battery technology offers twice the power and half the weight of a conventional battery, is applicable to all types of industrial and manufacturing uses and solves major performance, convenience and cost issues that are blocking electric vehicle consumer acceptance. The PWTC Power Battery is the battery of the future. Due to its unique internal structure and electrochemistry, the Power Battery demonstrates considerable advantages when compared to conventional batteries. Some of the advantages include: * Greater Efficiency: The Power Battery is 36-40% efficient, where as conventional batteries are only 12-15% efficient. The nontoxic alloy increases the electrochemically active surface area within the battery 1000 times * Lightweight: The Power Battery is 30-50% lighter than conventional batteries. * Environmentally Safe: The battery contains no toxic lead or acid materials, making it a truly friendly battery for the environment. * Easily Rechargeable: The Power Battery is safely and easily recharged using any 110 v household outlet, making it ideal for electric cars. * Cost Effective: The battery is cost-effective to produce, rendering no additional costs to consumers. * Easily Adaptable: The Power Battery uses the same external case as conventional batteries, making it easy to install in any vehicle without additional retrofitting. Patented Technology While PWTC is in the final stages of patent protecting its Power Battery technology, it has already received patents for two of its other revolutionary technologies: Roofing Sensor Alloy and Magnetic Pulse Pipeline Joining. PWTC's Roofing Sensor Alloy is a special metal alloy that produces an electric charge on contact with water. This technology is significant for applications that require a dry environment, such as a commercial building, ship's hold, basement etc., any place where exposure to water or moisture could damage expensive property or equipment. The Roofing Sensor Alloy is capable of emitting a .75 volt when placed in contact with water, making it ideal for triggering an alarm system used for moisture detection. This technology was awarded a patent in 1998 and is currently available for commercial licensing. PWTC technology can save hundreds of millions of dollars from flood and ice damage. For that reason, utility companies are very interested in the technology. PWTC has announced that it has engaged an investment banking firm to evaluate joint venture offers. PWTC has also announced that it has entered into formal discussion with a major North American utility company for the development and commercialization of its Alloy Sensor Technology. We expect to hear news relating to these discussions shortly. PWTC's Magnetic Pulse Pipeline Joining is a single stage welding process for joining large pipelines, and is more economical and less time-consuming than conventional 4-step processes. This one step process is a significant advance and could be greatly eneficial to pipeline engineers. Oil and gas pipeline leaks present a major hazard to population centers and the environment; incidents of injury are high and damage costs can reach into the hundreds of millions dollar range. This technology can aid in the prevention of such disasters, while providing a cost-effective tool for repairs. PWTC was awarded a patent for its Magnetic Pulse Pipeline Joining technology in 1998 and is currently offering licensing agreements for commercial use. These technologies, in conjunction with the Power Battery, are proving PWTC's technological capabilities and ingenuity. Key Management PWTC is lead by a highly experienced and talented management team. This team consists of dedicated business managers and scientists, all focused on bringing PWTC to the forefront of industrial and commercial technology. Included in this management team is Lee Balak, President and Director of PWTC. Mr. Balak has vast experience in successfully managing public companies, and has been actively raising funds for start-up, resource, and high technology companies since 1977. Another key figure is Alvin Snaper. Mr. Snaper serves as Vice President and Director of PWTC, and is responsible for the invention of over 100 patented and commercial products. He has been awarded the "Best Patent of the Year Award" three times by Design News Magazine, an accomplishment held by no other person. He created the IBM Selectric Ball, TANG (the orange drink), and NASA's Apollo Photo-Pack, and is responsible for the design and re-modification of PWTC's Power Battery. His expertise is helping PWTC to achieve new technological heights. A Stock to Watch PWTC is destined to make its name well known in the $70 billion battery industry. Besides filing patent protection for its Power Battery, PWTC is actively pursuing strategic partnerships with companies capable of manufacturing and marketing the battery. Such partnerships will make it a sought after product in the electric car industry, along with industries in need of efficient and cost effective portable power supplies. PWTC recently announced an important alliance with Aniche, Inc., and its affiliates, Eastern International Finance Ltd. (Hong Kong) and Tianjin Ningtai International (China). This alliance will lead the commercialization of the Power Battery in the automotive, stationary, electric-vehicle, and electric-bicycle markets. This alliance also provides PWTC with significant financing resources and local market know-how that will greatly aid in the success of this innovative company. PWTC and its strategic partners are engaging the top electrochemical research, testing, and development institutions in China, along with the top bike manufacturing and auto- makers for implementation of the Power Battery technology. The Chinese market for electric batteries is quite large. From the May 20, 1999 PWTC press release: "China has 1.2 billion people and an economy that has been growing at almost 10 percent a year over the past 18 years. Power Technology's unique battery technology not only radically transforms the affordability of mass transportation for China's average citizen, but can become imminently competitive in both commercial and industrial sectors as well," stated Mr. Philip Liu, President of Aniche, Inc. "A high performance, economical battery should find wide acceptance with major Chinese auto manufacturers, especially with sub-mini car manufacturers," Mr. Liu continued. "This alone could be a US$50 million per year market. Moreover, considering the expense of the automobile as a means of personal transportation, the bicycle is considered one of the top three items on every Chinese household's shopping list. This grants Power Technology and its Chinese partners a mass market for the electric bicycle. As such, a mere 10 million units over three years, priced at an affordable US$500 each, represents US$5 billion in revenue." PWTC is also currently involved in active discussions with two significant strategic relationships and has completed definitive documentation for these joint ventures that will role out its technology in many worldwide markets. These joint ventures could lead to significant opportunity for PWTC. We are excited about the significant opportunity in PWTC, as it emerges from R & D to commercialization and benefits of that transition that will be reflected in the share price. We will continue to monitor the progress and developments of PWTC and report them as they occur.
