Chris, I have to weigh in on Steven's side on this issue. The misery is not caused by the product but by the abusers of the product, whether it be alcohol or guns or automobiles. Having seen up close and personal the misery caused by alcohol abuse, I am myself very careful. On the other hand, I should resent bitterly not being able to enjoy an Armagnac at the end of a meal or a fine old Sauterne. I have a friend who collects guns, particularly old and rare ones with historic significance. In no way can he be considered to be abusing them, yet there are people who would be appalled by his interest, even though it is no more peculiar than collecting stamps.
