Ron, didn't you have problems with using an ATM machine last week? I know 2 people on Y2K threads mentioned it last week. Maybe this was the problem.

Sounds like that might just be the cause.

But the effect upon me was minimal. While I had no information on my actual account balance at that particular time, I still received my cash. And that was what was important to me at that time.

Not downplaying the event Cheryl, but since it occurred and few of us in the public even noticed the problem, and the fact that CBOT was able to continue trading even with these problems, I tend to place the event in a nuisance category. However, I betcha some of WCOM's IT trouble-shooters would heartily disagree with me.... :0)

But it may account for why WCOM's stock has recently been under pressure (as well as their announcement to lower long-distance fees on off-peak hours.).
