Ever notice that each year has major events? Duh ! It seems to me that the only coincidence is that people like to find relationships between unrelated events. Patterns exist, of course but their predictability is another matter altogether. Do the charts say the market is going down? Between 2 & 4pm yesterday, net stocks were flying. Many gapped open this morning. Now they are down; maybe in a few hours they will be back up. What does that tell you? It tells me nothing. What makes fortune telling and doomsday profits so fascinating, I don't get it?
