You're right!

Yup, it's got to reach the people that buy the food. I was surprised by the size of the tag. In the picture, the tag covered about 2/3rds of the fish. Assuming a 12 inch fish, the tag would be 6-7 inches long. It had alternating green and yellow compartments, which presumably change color.

I'm just waiting for the day when internet food sales take off, and you will use Freshtags to make sure that the food arrived safely.
