One has to look at a trend! A trend does not develop in a hurry! Dr. Batra was apparently extrapolating from trends he saw in history. Or one may say he was using the method of induction to venture a "conclusion". Of course, exceptions are possible with the method of induction. As for the market initially going up this morning, very many reasons may be advanced for it. For example, some interested groups are trying to establish a "SUCKER" rally or set a "BEAR" trap or it could be the Feds trying to maintain the illusion that all is well, etc, etc. I guess one has to wait a week or two or even longer to see how things go.
