Hi COug, I do think people are often resistant to change. BUt I think that to generalize the strong objection to the New SI from so many as only that would be wrong. Most of us have done a lot of adapting if we are active on the internet and computers. And to further classify the people objecting to SI as "conservative" , well, I'd be curious how you arrived at this conclusion. PArticularly in the areas you mention. Religious? (At least half of us here are agnostics or atheists.) Political? (We run the gamut from libertarian to liberal to strongly conservative to anarchy!) Culture? (I'm not even sure what you mean by that, but I would guess we are as culturally diverse as the rest of SI.) Your statement made the objectors sound like little RUsh Limbaugh clones! I agree with you about the 10 message improvement; I think that's an asset, and I'm trying to use the new format some, so that I don't dismiss it unfairly.
