Kanakaris Communications, Inc. (OTC BB: KKRS) announced that is opening today the KKRS.Net web portal making it one of the world's first companies to offer Internet users one-click access to full-length movies andbooks.
Today, for no charge, worldwide Internet viewers can sample Kanakaris content and technology (technology currently unique on the Internet for books) by watching on-demand movies or viewing books which include Shakespeare and the complete works of Charles Dickens as well as original proprietary titles.
The Kanakaris book content features many interactive and user-friendly attributes, including the ability to change pages without scrolling, re-size type, or search by word or phrase. Both the books and movies are accessible to anyone with Internet access, even at 28.8 modem speeds.
Kanakaris has embarked on an ambitious content acquisition program. They have secured electronic distribution rights to over 2,000 book titles (and will be adding these books to the web sites on a regular basis). George Atkinson, founding father of home video and winner of several home video awards, is director of movie acquisition for Kanakaris, and has already helped to provide the Company with online delivery access to hundreds of titles of many genres. The Company has been previewing new film titles on a weekly basis.
