Briefly revisiting the topic of appropriate content on this thread, I knew I recalled that the Bard had something to say on this, and this morning I found it.

Taming of the Shrew (a very appropriate play for some of the "gentler" sex on this thread! <g>) Act 1, Scene 1. Tranio to Lucentio:

Only, good master, while we do admire
This virtue and this moral discipline,
Let's be no Stoics nor no stocks, I pray,
Or so devote to Aristotle's checks
As Ovid be an outcast quite abjur'd.
