to: GUSTAVE JAEGER from: truedog Gus, for one time in my time of looking at this and other threads, I find that I must agree with you on the LBJ issue. WOW!!! Saying that makes me feel weird! Many of us in Texas were quite aware of the ruthless manner in which LBJ approached politics and there are many tales to tell about irregularities in his rise in politics at the polling places here. I realize that there has been anti-Catholic sentiment in the U.S. in the past, and, maybe, some still exists but, do not believe that was the reason for his death. I would be more likely to blame an insane lust for power as the motive. TD
