Hear Hear! I'm also a change promoter, but I prefer the
older interface. It is easier to read, though I do like the
10-at-a-time feature. Once they work the bugs out of it, I
will be happy to use that feature. Fortunately I am using
Opera as my browser, so when they turn on the lineprinter
paper format [yuck!], I can just turn it back off. Black
text on white screen -- taht still hasn't been improved on.

Yes, and no....
LPs have far better high frequency response than the
present (1983?) Philips/Sony CD standard. Even when that
standard was released, it was sub-standard. The availability
of DVD and other high-density CD-like media is going to allow
much higher quality digital audio. When digital is done right(*),
it will beat the vinyl hands down.

CDs are already a huge improvement in convenience. I love the
fact that I don't have to carefully clean a CD before every
playing to keep it sounding good. And I don't have to get up
and flip it over after 20 minutes.

Come on...twenty minutes?
Twenty minutes is not nearly enough time for some things.
