The motherboard cost issue brought up is a bunch of baloney. I see Athlon mobos for $220. A good BX mobo runs $100 to $130. Hardly 3 times, unless one considers a cheap board, LX or... Even then, Athlon motherboard prices will come down, way down. I remember back when the Klamath came out. There was much ado about the higher prices of the Slot 1 motherboards. Didn't seem to matter and the prices eventually came down. And let's not for forget that when the Pentium II was introduced it was with the FX chipset motherboards, then the LX and then the BXs. So the author of that article is getting a little too stupid for my tastes. Jim
