RE: "The people who can afford the minimum balance..." Well, I tend to disagree. Some of the wealthiest people I know are also the most careful about how they spend their $$$. Guess that's how they became wealthy in the first place. Also, 25K is not really a big account these days, and so would include the bulk of investors.
