OT, somewhat: SDLI's shelf filing, together with JDSU's secondary, are quite remarkable as a sign of strength in the fiber optic component/system deployment industry, coming as they do amidst pervasive general market weakness and rising rates. The shelf permits SDLI to issue equity or debt securities. It will be interesting to see how SDLI reads the market's appetite in terms of what the company elects to issue and when.

Pat, any ideas as to how comfortably SDLI can service, say, $300 million of debt or convertible securities at, say, 8% or so for pure debt and 3% or so for a convertible?

Regards. Steven
