NEW YORK, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Kasper A.S.L.,
the largest ladies suit manufacturer in the world,
announced today the launch of www.kasper.com to
enhance its brand's dominant position as the leading
career and fashion resource for the female executive.

Featuring an online Kareer Center, Kasper's web site
will provide women with a comprehensive
resource to organize their workday and personal
agenda. Kasper has partnered with leading
Internet content providers Planet Direct
(planetdirect.com) and ZineZone (zinezone.com),
two majority-owned divisions of CMGI Inc.
(Nasdaq: CMGI - news), to create a comprehensive
online destination for women. Planet Direct's
custom portal solution will enable Kasper to offer
visitors a plethora of content and personalized
features including personalized email, an online
calendar and email reminder service, real-time
stock quotes and portfolio management,
up-to-the-minute news and local weather.
Kasper's alliance with ZineZone will enable
visitors to access a professional library featuring
four major areas of interest: career, industry,
investing/personal finance, and business news. In
addition, Kasper has partnered with
BestJobsUSA.com to enable visitors to utilize
their comprehensive database to search for
nationwide jobs.

''We recognize the importance of the Internet to our
customer in her everyday life,'' said Arthur S. Levine,
chairman of Kasper A.S.L., Ltd. ''Our efforts with
Kasper.com will support our commitment to extending
our brand to this important communication resource.''

''We knew when we decided to come online with a
consumer-friendly web site, we had to be spectacular,''
said Gregg I. Marks, president of Kasper A.S.L. ''We
are proud of our fashionable career clothing, and now
it's time to partner that with technology. Women rely on
us for their office attire and it makes sense for us to be
an overall resource for them.''

Kasper.com also includes clothing photos and
descriptions of the current season's Kasper fashions.
The site showcases must have's for every woman's
professional wardrobe, and offers casual and festive
dressing options for every day of the week and every
occasion. With a sizing chart for misses, petite, and
women's sizes, the right fit is easy to achieve. A Kasper
Locator will also be available to help visitors find Kasper
retailers in their area. Additional features include the
ability for visitors to zoom into the pictures on the site to
accurately and precisely see textures, colors and
features of selected apparel. The zoom software was
licensed from Live Picture Inc. (LPI), the leader in
Internet imaging and the inventor of zoomable images
for the Internet.

To create the web site, Kasper hired Zentropy, a Los
Angeles- and New York-based design and development
group. Zentropy specializes in the development,
management and marketing of web sites and related
Internet services. It is known for its innovative and
award-winning designs, especially e-commerce driven
sites with clients such as Kenneth Cole (kencole.com ),
Neutrogena (neutrogena.com ), General Motors
(gmbuypower.com ) and Nautica (nautica.com ).

Kasper also worked closely with Internet strategy
consultants Dimension Online Media (domedia.com ),
who conceived Kasper's overall online strategy.
''Professional women trust the Kasper brand,'' says
Lyle Deitch, principal of Dimension Online Media.
''Kasper is one of the first to leverage the trust and
name recognition of their offline brand into their online
presence by building this vertical portal for professional
women.''

''This is a first for the industry,'' said Simone Quinn,
Kasper A.S.L.'s vice president of marketing. ''Kasper is
the first manufacturer to provide professional women
with this type of personalized online service. We've
created a truly comprehensive resource for career
women to use in their professional and personal lives.
By targeting the professional niche in women's lives in a
highly organized manner, we are enabling them to
simplify and enhance that component of their lives.''
