Zero Administration

Microsoft's push on their Zero Administration initiative shows just how much mind share it has lost to the Java/Network Computer juggernaut.

Just a interesting observation.

From the Spencer Katt column in PC Week:

"Spencer's never one to start rumors--his charter is simply to repeat them--but he
couldn't help thinking that Sun CTO Eric Schmidt's move to Novell was the first step in
a grand scheme by Scott McNealy to purchase Novell, then force every single one of
the 55 million NetWare users to move to Java-based network computing."

Novell is a big shareholder in Corel. So maybe on Tuesday at Java one I'm hoping and just guessing that Cowpland has a software bundling agreement with Sun.
