I know this might be a speculative statement but what if RedHat used the proceeds from this IPO to purchase exclusivity rights to the LINUX OS. Meaning, RedHat LINUX may become the only legal (and supported) version of the OS. It seems to me that eventually someone will need to take control of the OS ala Microsoft. The free system works now because it is still relatively small and obscure. What happens if it does become as popular as Microsoft? Just a thought. I am trading it right now. Will look for a good entry point later for longer term hold. M
