Vip, Prechtor? Now I feel better. My outlook is downright cheery next to his. He sure was the guru of the 80's, and the bonehead of the 90's. But he does some marvelous research. It's just impossible to call the timing of the types of cycles he predicts. If you miss by 5 years on a 300 year cycle, you're a genius. But you'll get run out of town on a rail by the people who've lost money trying to time the market on what you say. Novell insider buying and selling. If I were Schmidt, I would do an internal proclamation that anyone selling shares in the open market, better have a real good reason. Job one being investor and market confidence. You mentioned Intel taking a position in AVID. They just took an 18% position in SMSC. Stock was down from $30 plus over the last 2 1/2 years to $8 1/4. Book around $14. Very conservative finances, with no debt to speak of. Stock jumped to just over $10 on the news. How long did it take for the AVID insider buys to show up after the INTL news?? I'd love to see that happen to SMSC. Best, Dwight
