EVEN a secondary power source that would run all the power equipement that is required on a train,GMD has taken that old engine and milked every pound of power possible out of it ,the only thing left is a brand new design ,they seem reluctant to foot that huge bill . An engineer said to me at a retirement party last week "the push is on to get new technology to market before the competitor,.I didnt get into it with him but I will see him again
