Starfire Minerals Inc., a Vancouver, B.C. based Junior Exploration Company, has acquired interests over the last two years in several Precious and Base Metal prospects near the prolific Timmins, Ontario mining area.
Five of nine properties have been developed to the drilling stage at a cost of $600,000.
The Company previously acquired two extremely promising "Diamond" prospects, also located in Ontario (Traill & Tolmie Townships). Several major Companies have expressed considerable interest in a possible Joint Venture.
The "Diamond" prospect contains twenty-seven circular features ranging in diameter from 100m to 1000m which will be tested for Kimberlite indicators during the 1999 season. Bids have been invited for tender to conduct an airborne survey and a till sampling program expected to commence by late August 1999.
The Company is negotiating additional financing to continue with the ongoing development of its excellent portfolio of properties.
