state:

Athens, 1,080-megawatt gas-fired electric generating plant.
Proposed by U.S. Generating Co.

Bethlehem, 750-megawatt gas-fired electric generator.
Proposed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.

Scriba, 800-megawatt gas-fired combined-cycle plant, an
addition to an existing 1,000-megawatt Independence Plant.
Proposed by Sithe Energies Corp.

Ramapo, 1,100-megawatt gas-fired combined-cycle plant.
Proposed by American National Power.

Brooklyn, 520-megawatt barge, with mounted combined cycle
generator. Proposed by Sunset Energy Fleet.

Ramapo, 1,100-megawatt gas-fired combined cycle plant.
Proposed by Sithe Energies Corp.

Other publicly announced power-plant projects:

Kingston, 250-megawatt electric generator and 230,000
ton/year paper recycling plant.

Glenville, 810-megawatt gas-fired combined-cycle unit.
