Is anyone else mystified by the so called "licencing deal" that mysteriously appeared without prior notice in their last quarter earnings. Who is this company ECG? What are the terms of the deal? Did they actually pay, or is it just possible that the terms of the deal are conditional on, for example, future sales of some kind? My guess is the 13m is in the A/R and will be there for many quarters to come. The effect of this "deal" was to create a 1c profit rather than a 12c loss for the quarter. Seems coincidental that the CFO was saying the range for the quarter was 0 to 11c loss before any of us knew about this "deal". Given Cowpland's propensity for hype the silence on this "deal" is deafening.
